We are a Colchester-based charity currently recruiting a remote Fundraiser to join our team.

We are looking for an experienced Fundraiser to help take the charity’s mission to the next level. We support a rapidly growing global community of patients and carers living with eosinophilic diseases and have a network of healthcare and research professionals reaching 43 countries.

The Fundraiser will lead on the charity’s fundraising strategy and will focus on trusts and foundations. You will also drive all fundraising activity with support from the wider team to include community fundraising. This is an exciting opportunity to make a big impact in a charity entering a new phase of growth.

You will help to change the lives of people across the world who live with these rare and often isolating diseases and help to fight for awareness, understanding and collaboration among the medical community.

Fundraiser Role Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare a plan for our fundraising
  • Research & identify sources of funding
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing and potential funders 
  • Write effective bids and follow up 
  • Attending events to support the EOS profile
  • Work with our Communications Officer to support our community fundraising efforts.

Job Specifications and Application Process for Fundraiser Position

This role of Fundraiser will suit you if you enjoy being part of a small team making a real difference to people’s lives. Previous success in charity fundraising is a given, and if you have a background in health, that would be advantageous. This is a home-based role, but the ability to meet up in person on an occasional basis would be appreciated.

This will be a remote working role, and we can be flexible about hours, with a minimum of 3 days per week (full-time equivalent is 37.5 hours per week) working primarily in office hours, with flexibility available and occasional event-based activity outside of office hours. On offer is a salary of £28,000 - £31000 per annum FTE.

The expected recruitment process is - Shortlisting in April, followed by interviews/appointments in April/May 2024.
