Our Volunteers

Alex

Hi, I’m Alex! I have six years’ experience of digital marketing within the private and charity sector, covering a range of roles including social media, ecommerce, paid advertising, email marketing and website management.

I started volunteering for EOS Network in mid-2020 while on furlough and have helped to build the charity’s online presence as it expands to support more people living with eosinophilic diseases around the world. I particularly enjoy looking at data and insights to help us better understand need and how we are growing to meet it across the globe.

In my free time, I like to cook (and more importantly, eat), play football and explore the bars and restaurants of Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

Sam

Twenty years ago, Sam was diagnosed with an EGID, initiating a challenging period for him and his family. However, this journey eventually led to the creation of the EOS Network.
His story inspires young people to find the strength to live a full life despite health challenges and advocate for themselves.
As a longstanding member of the Network, Sam tirelessly works to support the team during professional events, communicating with healthcare professionals, advocating for the community's needs, and raising awareness.
Thanks to Sam's assistance, our team was able to upgrade our technology suite, boosting our operational efficiency and responsiveness.
We are at the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSACI) Conference

Ali

Hi, I'm Ali! I'm a former law enforcement officer who presently still works in the criminal justice field. I live in the United States with my husband, daughter, and our three rescue dogs.

My passion for supporting eosinophilic research and charities began when my daughter, Paisley, was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Esophagitis in 2021 at the age of one.

Photography and design have been a hobby of mine for as long as I can remember. Therefore, it only made sense to use my hobbies to support such a great organization - The EOS Network!

Thank you to the volunteers who have helped us in the past!

Emilie

Hi, I’m Emilie! I’ve worked in the marketing industry for over three years, helping to execute marketing strategies for a variety of businesses. My experience is focused around content marketing, with my favourite areas being social media marketing, email marketing, copywriting and design.

I’ve been volunteering for EOS Network since January 2022. I look forward to continuing to develop the charity’s social media presence, providing a place of support and education for those living with eosinophilic diseases.

In my spare time, I can often be found enjoying brunch with friends, working out at the gym or spending at my local shopping centre!

Tilly

Hi, I’m Tilly! I’m currently a third-year University of Leeds student studying BA Fashion Marketing, and currently working full time on my placement.

I’m keen to engage with charity-focused marketing alongside my studies. I’m excited to continue developing EOS Network’s online presence and resources, and I hope to both learn and apply my studies to this role.

My interests include oil painting, thrifting, and exploring with friends in Leeds.
