Join us in rallying behind two incredible runners from the EOS Network family as they tackle the prestigious London Marathon this year.
Our runners, Katie and Carla, are showcasing their incredible determination and raising awareness and much-needed funds for our community.

The London Marathon is a beacon of human endurance and spirit, and this year, it promises to be even more significant.
Set in the historical heart of London, the event celebrates strength, community, and solidarity. Our runners will be amongst thousands, each with their own stories but united by a common goal - to cross that finish line.

Meet Our Runners

Katie's Story

Katie, inspired by her friend Sam's long battle with Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disease (EGID), is running the 2024 London Marathon to support the EOS Network. Witnessing Sam's struggles and facing her own battle with Crohn's, Katie understands the importance of a supportive community and the need for increased awareness and timely diagnosis of EGIDs.

By participating in the marathon, Katie aims to raise funds and awareness for the EOS Network, ensuring those affected by Eosinophilic Diseases receive the recognition and support they need. Her campaign, #RunForEOS2024, is not just a race; it's a step towards changing lives for people like Sam.

By raising awareness and money for the EOS Network, we will be able to make sure that Eosinophilic Diseases are recognised more, and that children and adults can get diagnosed sooner without suffering in silence. - Katie

Carla' Story

Diagnosed with Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis (EG) in 2020, Carla's life changed overnight. She faced weeks in the hospital, numerous challenges, and ongoing struggles due to the rarity of her condition, which lacked sufficient awareness and resources for proper diagnosis and treatment.

By running this marathon, Carla aims to raise awareness and funds for the EOS Network and EG. She is determined to contribute to a world where those affected by Eosinophilic Diseases receive timely diagnosis, effective treatment, and the necessary support to navigate their condition.

I am so keen to do anything I can to help & support the patients and families in this community who suffer day in and day out with EOS. Your support, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in the lives of people affected by Eosinophilic-Associated diseases. - Carla

How You Can Support US

Every step our runners take brings us closer to a world where Eosinophilic Diseases are understood, treated, and, hopefully, cured. But they need your support:

  1. Donate: Your contributions will directly support those affected by EADs. Whether large or small, every donation makes a difference.
  2. Share: Help us spread the word! Share our runners' stories and their fundraising pages on social media. The more people know about our cause, the greater the impact we can make.
  3. Encourage: Leave messages of support directly on our fundraisers' pages. Your words of encouragement will be a tremendous boost to their spirits.
  4. Cheer in Person: Join us in person on the 21st of April to offer your support and cheer on our runners!
  5. Join virtually, wearing a pink or purple shirt, or shop our new T-shirt collection (coming soon).

Note that starting times and locations differ depending on the runner's group - we will give more information about where you can support our runners closer to the date.

Why the London Marathon Matters

Our charity is committed to improving the lives of those affected by EADs. We provide support, facilitate research, and strive to increase public understanding of these challenging conditions.

By supporting our runners, you are helping to further these goals. The London Marathon is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on Eosinophilic-Associated diseases, pushing them to the forefront of public attention.
