Join the EOS Network for a free, expert-led webinar to discover the complex intersection between Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Diseases (EGIDs) and systemic conditions such as Connective Tissue Disorders (CTDs) and Dysautonomia/Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTs).

This session will offer vital insights into how these overlapping conditions affect diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life for those living with EGIDs.

Expert:

Joshua B. Wechsler, MD, MSCI, Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.  Paediatrics (Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition), Medicine (Allergy and Immunology)

  1. What are CTDs?
  2. What is POTs / Dysautonomia?
  3. Causes and prevalence
  4. Overlap with EGIDs and their commonly associated symptoms (beyond the gut)
  5. How and when should these conditions play a part in diagnosis and holistic treatment/care?
  6. Future research

Why Join

People with CT conditions like Joint Hypermobility Syndromes (JHS/EDS) or Dysautonomia/POTs often experience GI symptoms that are commonly seen in EGIDs. These overlapping symptoms can lead to misdiagnosis or delays in identifying the underlying cause, whether it is EGID, CTD, or both.

Recent research highlights a higher prevalence of these symptoms among individuals with CTDs, underscoring the need for greater awareness and cross-speciality collaboration.

If you’re living with an Eosinophilic Disease and also experience signs like dizziness, fatigue, or joint hypermobility, this session will help you explore the bigger picture and what it could mean for your care.
