We're delighted to announce that we will be continuing our weekly Wellbeing Wednesday community Zoom sessions throughout February!
We often hear that our community members find diets and diet management particularly challenging, but many find it difficult to access a dietitian for information and advice.
That's why we're inviting four dietitans (two specialising in paediatric, two in adult and young adult) to give talks on the whats and whys, and advice on the how's of diet management.

What is planned?

The four sessions will be split into two aimed for adults and young adults with EoE, and two for children and teens with EoE. For each of these groups, we will be inviting two specialist dietitians who will give presentations on:
  • First week - Why diets are used, what type of diet and the different challenges and approaches
  • Second week - How to manage an exclusion diet, including practical advice such as how to read labels, kitchen practice, replacements and reintroductions
For those who haven't joined one of our Wellbeing Wednesday sessions before, we begin with a talk from the invited speaker(s) before opening up to a Q&A session and then a general community discussion.

Depending on the number in attendance, we may split this last section into 'breakout rooms' to maximise everyone's time with the dietitians. We'll also ask people to send questions for the Q&A in advance.

When are they taking place?

Wellbeing Wednesdays: EoE and Diets will begin on 3rd February 2021 and continue each Wednesday for four weeks.
The sessions will be hosted on Zoom and will begin at 8pm GMT* and last for 90 minutes.
